Twilight Fans... Redeemed.

First. My review. I think after seeing Twilight I was relieved that it wasn't as bad as I thought. Still not good, but definitely wasn't as bad. Didn't follow the book. Super scattered. Didn't flow well. The acting by some were just horrible. NEW MOON... a WHOLE other story. This movie was AMAZING. Making this movie like how it is has made me feel worthy again to be such a devoted Twilight saga fan. This movie IS THE BOOK. New Moon is very emotional, and I really thought they'd get that wrong. It was right on. It was beautiful. The acting. The make-up. The effects. The Vulturi. Just the whole feel of the movie was PERFECT. The only thing that was left out, in my opinion... was from the book page 496 thru 499. Uh, people it's not a lot. And that was one of my favorite parts in the book. Watch the movie, and then read thru these pages. Then you will be completely filled in on what NEW MOON is all about.

Now... onto my full day. It started at 10 am. With some of the youngest Twilight Saga fans.
Don't they look happy.
More of my peeps.
Some more... It's gettin darker.

Here we are inside. By now it's 10 pm.

Sorry, girls. I had to add this one. You are the one who does this to yourselves. Cyndi and her skittle up her nose. Then Rach... well, you can clearly see. I love you girls.

I don't know what this was.

A major funny part.

Intently watching the movie.

Another, I don't know. But loved it anyway.

Alyssa and me.

I love this woman!

Some final words...
GO SEE IT. And for those of you who make fun of us girls who act silly and stay out all day long to wait to get good seats at a movie... you should stop. Keep it to yourselves. Try it one time. Go find some friends where you can act silly with. Yes, I may be 30 (almost). I may be married with 3 cuties boys. I may have bills, responsibilities, a house to clean, lots of laundry, and a calling at church where I need to be the best example I can be. But can I just say, that if I DIDN'T do things like this, then life would be boring, no fun, and just plain dumb. I do a lot of things. I do NOT neglect what needs to get done. I have an almost-perfect relationship with my husband and other families members. I love what I do. So for those who think that all of that can get in the way of fun, then you just keep letting it, and continue to be miserable. But, I for one, WILL NOT.

Shoes, and steep driveways

Aren't these red shoes super pretty? I think so.

Although super steep, and slippery because of the acid wash, it's still really pretty.

Although... the 2 of them together- nope they don't mix well. You will not see the actual fall, but you will see the results from the fall. Yes, that's right. I fell. I think the first time ever I fell wearing some crazy HIGH heels.

Those are not scuffs. Those are wounds. My poor pretty shoes. The car driving, and the couple who were out for a nice morning walk didn't know they would get a free show with a woman dressed all nice for church, a ton of things in her arms, talking on the phone (phone resting on her shoulder), walking entirely too fast cause she was late, falling, and sliding down a steep driveway. Hm... I should have known. Therefore, I should have charged.

Chandler's callin ghostbusters

video

Chandler's the one with the white hood over his head. He's a mummy. The ONLY one with a halloween costume on. This was the Halloween Carnival... So why didn't anyone dress up???

I love it when he snaps his head as he shouts "Ghostbusters"!!!!

Armed and Dangerous

One of our YW activities was to go and shoot guns. That's right... Guns. To shoot them. Explosion. Bang Bang. I would be the only one out of the group of girls that had NEVER shot a gun before. I'd have to say that's it's rather fun. And I will be doing this again.

My very first one... it's little. Can you see it? And that's our instructor... Bro. Boyer.

btw- is my hair really that dark in the back? Hmm. I never knew that. Anyways... this is Madisen, and Alyce Staples. She saved the day and came along when everyone else bailed on me. I couldn't just go alone with the Laurels and Bro. Boyer... With all the guns. I had to have a witness.

This would be the scariest of them all. It was really heavy. Also dangerous if you didn't hold it correctly. I'm about to fire.
Trying to work up the nerve...FIRE!!!!!!

No, I'm not doing a dance. It actually kicked me back. HA. FUN.

This was my 'Time Out'

For 2 days, I was spiritually fed (absolutely NOT physically fed, cause the food was next to horrible). I went to "Time Out For Women" right here in Saint George. It was pretty fabulous. I think I was starving the whole time, cause this is the only picture I got out of it. My mind does not work without the proper food every 2 hours, plus chocolate every 3.

Hilary Weeks, Kenneth Cope were the musical artists, and they were great! Hilary Weeks was one who's songs got me through a lot when I was in High School. In fact my best friend, Tausha moved away our sophomore year, and she sent me an unknown CD. It was Hilary's first CD, and it was like she wrote it especially for me. So, seeing Hilary Weeks was a huge thing for me.

Other than the food thing (or lack of food thing) it was a nice 2 days to have all to myself. Just a quick tip to those who are planning on going... bring snacks, and your own food. OR... GO OUT.

I have daughters... and sisters.

I'm so lucky to have these girls and women in my life. The things they teach me are pretty darn amazing. I learned that music is even more powerful in a room full of twinkle lights, greenery, and fall colors. This is our group of girls, my counselors, advisers, and me at our Young Women in Excellence night. It was pretty amazing. It was spiritual. It was FUN. It was exciting. It was nerve racking. It was unexpected. It was beautiful. It was unforgettable. The best thing I have to share with these girls is the fact that I LOVE them. Sometimes I want to shake them and ask what the heck they're doing (just a quick warning). And, that's because I love them.

There are no words how to explain my gratitude for the women that helped this night become what it was. I had this crazy vision to how I wanted it to be, and it happened! They stuck by my crazy, and difficult ways. It was a night that "looked" stressful. But I was NOT stressed one bit. These women, Steph, Michelle, and Rachel took on everything with a smile. I know that Heavenly Father answered my prayers when I was asked to choose counselors. They inspire me!

Have you heard the 80's version of Janice Kapp Perry's "The Rising Generation"?? It's unbelievably powerful. Then when you get a group of Young Women in gospel choir robes (graduation robes) and have them grove to the beat, and sing their hearts out... it's even better.

Did I say it was an amazing night???

Total tally

These are just 2 of the six puppies that Missy delivered! 6!!! Still can't believe she had 6. BUT... only 3 survived. I love watching them nurse.

Mmmm... motherly love.

cuddling with her babies.

I don't EVER hear them whine, or complain. She's such a good mama! She takes care of them so well. She's extremely protective. This has been a really good experience for our family!

Missy

This is Missy and me. Weird. I'm not a dog lover. Really, I not a animal lover. I have enough "stuff" to deal with in my life. I Don't need to add another problem, another mess to my already insane life. On-the-other-hand, Missy will be a mommy soon. And I feel as though I'm pregnant right along with her. She's 7 years old, and I'm a little nervous this might be difficult for her.

I've opened my house to her. Well, more like my laundry room. Whenever I leave she goes with me. Or if I do leave without her, she's there waiting for me. We haven't always been the best of friends, and I think she's starting to like me. I'm starting to like her to too, I guess. I see it as Rosalie and Bella in "Breaking Dawn". Yup, that's Missy and me.

I'm so worried that she'll deliver these puppies by herself, and she's so little. Not like I know what I'm doing. But at least she'll have a clean enviroment to have her babies.

And... the proud papa, Alex.

One Fun Day

This weekend we drove up north to Cedar City. The point was to see all the changing colors! It was pretty fabulous. The weather was COLD. WINDY. but SUNNY. All together, a pretty great day!
They each found cool sticks to bring home...

We had lunch in the back of Grandpa's truck. Almost blew away while we ate. We just laughed!

Found a really pretty RED tree.

Jackson got to sit up front. The highlight of HIS day.

A beautiful place to be. In the midst of the red trees. My kind of place.

Took more family pictures with some red leaf trees we found as we were driving down the mountain! This was on a slant, and it was very difficult to get this!!!

Even got a shot of mom and Rusty.

This is a tractor! Grandpa Rusty forgot to back up. He pulled to the side of the road. We all got out and climbed in to this unknown tractor! FUN

We even had semi's joining in our fun. They honked whenever we asked them too!!!

This is the first time they've ever done this!!! Our car windows are tinted. Ultimately the funnest DAY we've had in a while.

No, I'm not having a girl

I just wanted a new look. And this is the kinda stuff I love. Toile... Black and White Toile. If I had a girl then her bedroom would look like this. This is slightly what my room looks like, but not so girly. So, there. No formal announcement of a girl on the way... just what I like.

Please note:

This is temporarily open for all to see... Please leave your email, and I will add you to my list and INVITE you to my BLOG... pretty please. I promise to update ALL the time.

okay, bye

Up and running... literally.

Life is wonderful once again. I have a new computer with a running Internet. I can blog, email, and browse as I want. LOVE LOVE LOVE it.

It's time to catch up... Life as a mom of three boys, wife to a beautiful, sexy (demanding of my attention at times... most times) loving husband, seasonal employee (that's right I said Seasonal) of Lins (pretty much EX-employee) daughter to fabulous parents who live near and far, Friend to an amazing group of girls - woman who inspire me everyday -, Young Woman's President of Foster Hills Ward, employee of the Washington County School District (recess guard, 1 hour a day), exercise fanatic, and a home cook can be a bit rough at times... But all together life as I know it at this very moment (although very hard and exhausting) is absolute BLISS.

Summer lovin'

Jordan's injury of the summer... no ER needed. I have the pretend DOC in the family. Oscar did an exceptional job patching it back together.

My dad came to town... right before he moved from one extreme to another. Pocatello, ID to Phoenix AZ. - I can bet I'll visit more in Phoenix. Hate the cold... love the hot. btw- DAD... you're looking good!

First day of School. Of course I have the cutest boys in the school.

This is my little baby... THAT's right, BABY. He's in pre-school. And when he's not, it's me and him. Him and I, for 4 hours... It's the most wonderful thing.

A sensational Girls Night...

Our 10 year anniversh!!! 9 years of marriage. 10 years of being Oscar and Kari...

Some of the Young Woman at our Stake Sand Hollow Swim night!!! So much fun!
Some of the leaders... Steph, Michelle, and Alicia were NOT there. They missed out on some good teenage FUN.

My bro. He's one of the YM Counselors. He lives in St. George now... FINALLY. thanks for coming back!

And... Just last weekend. Taush and Me. Can you believe it Taush??? Our kids? Look at how many? Look at how grown up they are. And us... I love you more everyday! Thanks for loving me back!

Taush and I have been friends since we were 10. Through thick and thin we've come out strong. (not to exclude my other chica's... you know who you are) Here we are 20 years later. Never go a year without seeing each other. Our kids love each other. Never goes too long without a phone call. She inspires me! Now, that's a best friend.

Camping - sort of

Isn't Oscar always at the grill??
Yup, these are the fish we caught. Okay -- I caught 4. The first 4 fish of my life. And another cute girl who was with us, Cindy... caught like 15. Okay, so they were small. But we caught them
See me with the fishing pole? I'm so very proud of myself.

Playing in the water. It was so much fun.

Happy family enjoying nature.

I love this man.

This one's for Katie

Katie - Nacole - me
Us, with all our kids. In the summer time, or as soon as it gets hot enough.... this is what we do. Pack up the kids, put the entire fridge in a cooler, and head to a pool. We can be there all day, and there is nothing else better to do than sit in the sun... watch the kids play, and be lazy.
Katie, what will I do without you? She has been my best friend here in Saint George for about as long as I've lived here. She's moving back to Logan... and I don't know what I'm going to do without her, and her kids. Her husbands pretty cute too...
Please come visit me often.
**sighing**
